while I was at MD Anderson in Houston, they had a brochure about that. and the company that you can buy it from. Studies say it helps. My husband has not used it. He is 4 weeks post op and we will be doing some natural things, we are looking inot that as this point. JOycee

I've heard of it, but have not seen an real research on it. I know there are companies that go around and put brochures in hospital and doctor waiting rooms, but I don;t know that the hospitals themselves do it. There is a lot of snake oil out there for sale. However, that being said, there may be some research out there that I don;t know about. There have and are things that are all natural used to treat some disorders, an example is the Foxglove plant. Digitalis is made from that. There are others. However these have been studied and pharmacologically approved by FDA. So, yes, all natural can be good,, the question is has it been studied and approved. I personally will stay only with things with a solid research base, approved and know to be effective. One of the problems is the unwitting use of natural things that can cause harm. Well this is a long answer to a short question. Yes I have heard of it, where and how it is being researched I don;t know. I'm sure I'm going to be in trouble with someone, but that's my thinking on this.

I have read some articles about it, but haven't tried it. A friend of mine who is from Peru emailed me something about baking soda also. Again, like Cheyenne says, is there any research supporting it?

i did a search on national institutes of health pubmed website
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez
(searched on frankincense bladder cancer)
the study looks like it is still in the petri dish stage, and was for intravesical treatment (which is to say, not a home treatment for most of us!). so it provides hope for an alternative to bcg I'd think, but not mets?
it didn't look to me that this study had to do with an oral preparation or ?

David, we have had inquiries about this before! If you go to the top of the page, directly under the BCAN logo and photo, there is a bar labeled "Find It". Type in "frankincense" and click on "find it". There are 4 other discussions besides yours that you can reference if you are interested. I know at least one of them had another website link. Happy reading!
