Ben starts Dose Dense MVAC on Monday

0 Recommendations

We saw Ben's Oncologist today, and we were quite relieved, as he has done his homework, and plans to administer the dose dense MVAC, and baby him along the way. I don't think he has ever done this, but today he was much more positive about giving it a try. Up until now, he has been very cautious. Meeting Dr. Siefker, and getting them together on conference calls made all the difference. I would not have known how to accomplish what we have is such a short time without the help and guidance from all of you here. I'll let you all know how things go next week.

Well it's not great that he is going to have dose dense MVAC, but it is great that he is. I know, that Didi;t make any sense unless it did. But you know what I mean.

You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Yvonne

Cheyenne. I understand you perfectly and am constantly thinking the same thing. We were encouraged that Ben was getting the "new" gold standard, with Carboplatin instead of Cisplatin. Now we're thankful that he is going to have much more major poison going into his system. Life is sure different than it was 4 or 5 months ago.

Cathy

Cathy,
Keeping you and Ben in my thoughts and prayers. Best wishes always.

Blaine

Thank you Blaine. Think of you both often and wish you both well.

Cathy

Happy you guys made it home safely - if you noticed it poured buckets here - that is why the lawn didn't get mowed. Always an excuse......

Well done Cathy, you moved mountains. Hoping now that Ben will be receiving this treatment at your local med facility.

Enjoy the rest of the week - and if you find yourself running out of time getting everything organized for next week, DeleGate! the routine stuff. That should be your new word.

hugs
Nancy

p.s. I really don't know who that mendo man is - think maybe he might be a little fiesty

You both are in my thoughts and prayers...Best of Luck..
Arlene

Nancy. Lucky you, that fiesty mendo-man is all YOURS! Yes, Ben will be getting his treatments with his Oncologist in Sunnyvale (about 1 1/2 hours from home). I will be staying at a hotel about a mile or two away. Ben will not let me stay at the hospital. He wants me to get sleep and be strong. Probably a good idea.

Have a good evening.....

Hugs back at you,
Cathy

Cathy,
I will be thinking of you and Ben,,,hoping the side effects are minimal,,,just happy he is getting treatment,,and it helps the situation with his mets...

Ginger

Cathy,
I think it is smart for you to go get some sleep so you can be there and be supportive for Ben during the day.. We'll all be praying that the dose dense MVAC does it job and kicks the bc in the _utt! We'll continue to lift ya'll in prayer daily. Let us know how it is going and if there is anything we can do for ya'll.

Lynda

Mendo-Man is harmless. He's cool.

Thanks, Ginger and Lynda. Yeah, Chey, I believe you are right about mendo-man being "harmless" but... Mendo-lady might have a different opinion!

Cathy

Well you are on your way in this fight, and we all wish you well and are here on the side lines rooting for you both. Take care and keep the faith, we are here too and will be anxious to hear as the journey progresses

Yeah, cool like "the Fonz". Aaayy

Candon. I am SO glad to hear Ed is doing well with the MVAC. It's great to hear you feeling positive. Is he eating ok? He must be spending a night in the hospital, right?

I like your way of thinking. Dancing with our hubbys in two years WILL be wonderful. H O P E...
