MRSA and the toll it takes

0 Recommendations

2 weeks ago I had what looked like a bug bite. 5 Days later I couldn't touch my leg and had a baseball size knot. 3 days after that they hospitalized me for the holiday weekend. In 8 days time I had 2 boils and was on IV antibiotics. They can't tell me how or where I could have gotten the infection know as MRSA, but I am to stay away from little kids, old people and those on immune supressing drugs. I do childcare so there goes my job. My grandma is 87 and try to spend time with her, there goes that. My boyfriend takes immune supressing meds so I can't be with him either. My girls are pregnant so I worry every time they have to help with bandages. The antibiotics they sent me home on make me real sick no matter how I take them. all the doctor can say is hopefully in 2 weeks I can go back to a normal life minus that fact I will be taking antibiotics for serveral weeks more and will be know as a carrier of MRSA forever. The good thing is the treatment is working and I will get better. It's a ways off.
