Any one out there had septic arthritis? I was diagnosed last Septmember after almost 3 months of symptoms and seeing 7 doctors. It was caused by Strep. I was on Iv and oral antibiotics for 2 months. Now I am infection free but have severe damaage to my hip. I just scheduled surgery for Aug. 26 for reconstruction of the pelvis and total hip replacement. This will be the 7th surgeery on that leg and may noyt be the last. They don't expect the replacement to last as long as they normally do just because of the amount of reconstruction needed.
Anyone got ant experience with this? I really need someone that has had thiss disease to connect with.
