Hello everone, I'm a 56 year old female that was recently diagnosed with PMR. I would love to here from anyone who has this and what input they can give me. I'm a diebetic and cannot take prednisone because my numbers go off the charts. I am currently on a cocktail of meds and they help some, but still have a lot of pain. thank you to anyone who can give me info on this disease.
I'm 57, female, and also recently diagnosed with PMR although I'm not sure that's actually the problem. I had a high sed rate and that's how I ended up with a rheumatologist. I take 15 mg of pred and, while I feel some better, am still not right. It's pretty frustrating. Just wanted to say you're not alone!
