Are you aware of the financial assistance offered by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society? They have two programs, one is the Patient Financial Aid program for up to $500.00 each year and covers such things as certain medicines, travel reimbursement(including airfare, mileage, tolls, etc.), and some medical tests. The second program is their Co-Pay Assistance program and it pays up to $5,000.00 each year...to qualify for this program you must have insurance or Medicare/Medicade and you must meet the financial requirements. (Ex. Family of 2 must make below $70,000.00 to qualify). A list of qualifications is available from their website. Representatives of the LLS are present at many of our local amyloidosis meetings and
