Scarring

My husband was diagnosed with GBM 4 a little over a year ago. He had a resection, 6 weeks of radiation and monthly chemotherapy treatments (Temodar). Bob's last MRI showed growth of more scarring and will be getting a PET scan month to verify that it is not tumor growth. The concern is the vast scarring growth. Has any one had this problem and what the outcome was?
