Pineal Cyst--affects hormonal balance?

Many others have written the same thing. Doctors & specialists brush them off, a pineal cyst isn't uncommon, we'll just monitor it, another MRI in one year, etc...I've been told that too. But I have a question:

Does a pineal cyst affect hormones? For instance, pituitary, thyroid functioning, uterine/ovarian functioning?

I have a 1.5 cm pineal cyst, nodules on my thyroid & symptomatic uterus/ovaries where Doc #1 says I have endometriosis & cysts on ovary, and then Doc #2 says I have neither--it's simply hormonal. Doc suggested maybe the pineal cyst is affecting hormonal balance.

Anyone know?

I don't have an answer for you but I wonder what else it could affect, sleep cycles, moods? Did you ever find any more info on this? As you can see there doesn't seem to be too much info for us.

I have a pineal cyst and am dx w hypothyroidism... and started loosing my hair ;( last year

There is a lot of information about pineal cysts and connections with Insulin Resistance, PCOS, Hypothyyroid emerging on the web recently. As the pineal gland is an endocrine gland I am sure hormonal symptoms are related to pineal lesions.
