loss of taste and smell

Good Morning all,
I'm Still very new to the group. And have a question: My ex husband was dx'd w/ Stg 4 GBM 16 months ago and was wondering if any GBM patients who have/ or have not ceased main stream pharma/ opting for alternative meds/ or opting to discontinue all tx (as he has done)3-4 mos ago, have experienced the loss of taste and smell? If so, how far along into this dreaded disease does this happen?..
I found out 2 months ago that ex husband can no longer taste nor smell things. He is on the Budwig protocol diet, prefers to blend all foods/supplements to drink when hungry.
Can anyone help me discern how serious this is please? thank you very much
