Just Remember Our God Is Good All the time

Our Lord is good all the time. He celebrates when we are happy and things are going well, He mourns when we are sad and things are not going our way.We are all living closer to death these days, cancer, heart disease, car accidents. Thank Jesus for every day that He has given you. Trust in Him and He will give the possitive attitude. I had a brain tumor removed in June. GBM4. Radiation and chemo 6 weeks and continuing on a 5 day on and 23 days off of temodar until January. Take it day by day. God bless each one of you and your families that are dealing with the same situation that my family is going through. My prayers are with you and your families.

Hi Bonnie - so glad to hear your positive attitude. My husband had a GBM4 removed in mid-August and is finishing his first round of Temodar and radiation. Keeping our focus on the Holy Spirit has made all the difference. The beginning was so traumatizing for everyone, but we did get our footing back with God. All the best to you.

Yes, I agree, our God is good! My dad, 58 was diagnosed with GBM 6 months ago and had one surgery. We have chosen not to do chemo or radiation. We are focusing on healthy, clean, organic eating and lots of spiritual healing. So far so good. He hasn't had any more seizures and walks 5+ miles a week! He looks healthier than ever. I'm so happy yet scared. It's hard to put all your faith in God but when you do He definitely notices. Praying for all!

Amen, my dad had a no. 3 removed in march 2011, radiation, chemo, and is doing great. By Gods grace we have been well, it is not easy but God is good and preforms miracles!

THIS GETS PRINTED AND PUT ON MY REFRIG........THE LORD DOES HEAL........ AND HE IS GOOD AND WILL HOLD ME LIKE A BABY...THIS GIVES ME COMFORT....I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO CLOSE TO JESUS...AND IT IS THE ONLY THING GIVING ME PEACE AND SERENITY.............

Thank you God,
It would be awesome if we could have prayer chains throught email not sure how to do it though

I LOVE U...IT IS ON THE REFRIG..............

Amen! God always has it all in his hand. When it comes to radiation and chemo, I don't believe that it would handle it better. My biggest fear is, what if it brings more issues of my not living as comfortable as now. Since I turned into vegetable and spiritual care, I am able to walk longer and look more healthier.

PRAY......DO NOT STOP ............GET PRAYER CIRCLES GOING........DO NOT FEAR.........GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.........FEAR CAN BE HORRIBLE............DO NOT LET IT 'TAKE YOU'............... GOD BLESS U AND TRUST IN THE LORD..............LET HIM CARRY YOU, HOLD U...........LOVE YOU.

APPRECIATE EVERY SECOND..............I HAVE LEFT LEG PARALYSIS....AND NERVE DAMAGE.....PAIN SUCKS,BUT IT IS UNDER CONTROL............I THANK GOD EVERY SECOND...THE LORD WILL BE YOUR SALVATION AND SERENITY AND PEACE.................................XOXOXOXOXO

THE FIRST OF MANY

Here are a few Scriptures that have been helpful to me when I am discouraged and feel I'm slipping into the pit of depression over my husband's GBM diagnosis.

Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
34:17-19 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
Psalm 62:1-2 My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalm 91:14-15 "Because heloves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him."

The Lord has been so faithful to us through this journey. I have noticed that many of the people on Inspire are relying on God. I don't know how people make it through this without the hope of the Lord. The two GBM survivors that have lived the longest (so far) that I am aware of both credit their faith for their exceptional results (9 yrs and 12 yrs, so far).
Thanks bonniebell for being so bold in your post.

My sister has had tumors since 1996 with 4 surgeries the last one being in August. Her short term
memory has been effected since then. This has been troublesome to her husband and to our whole family.
We are thanking God that they got all of the tumor and are believing it wont come back. What we want to do now
is all we can to make her life the best it can be and believe that God will bring her short term memory back.
And that she becomes more active then she is. It is hard to know if we should push her to do more when it
hasnt been that long since the surgery.
We need to realize that God loves her and that nothing is impossible with him. I want so much for her husband
to become a born again believer. It would help him to deal with her challenges in the best way and it would
help her to relax and not feel like she is only causing problems for him since she is unable to do very much
around the house. He finally knows at least not to argue with her anymore when she disagrees with him.
I am grateful for this site and for other wonderful believers that are standing on God's unfailing word. I look
forward to getting to know as many of you as possible.

I am in.

Wow - I live in NJ and just got our power back on. It was off since Monday night's hurricane. I love this post. My email address is tappersusan@gmail.com - please count me in.

I have been reading amazing books about healing which addresses the inner healing (causes of the outer manifestations of disease) - the one I'm reading to my husband right now (GBM4 diagnosed 8/12) is Francis MacNutt's book, The Power to Heal.

Dear Bonniebell,

Thank you for sharing your faith and positive attitude. As a fellow believer, it is refreshing to hear others give credit to our Great Physician. Although I would have preferred not to be on this journey of GBM, I trust God's plan for us as my husband courageously battles the monster. We know He chose us because He knows our hearts and we know that He equips us for the journey. We don't know when the journey will end but we know He will hold us through it all. As Becky said, I also don't know how anyone makes it through this without faith.
Peace,
Liz
