Dad broke his hip

My father will be 90 in a month and is my mothers sole caregiver. He fell 10 days ago and broke his hip. He is now in a rehab facility and will return home. But until then, we cannot leave Mom alone at all. This has been very very hard. Mom got really belligerent with me in the hospital. She was so obnoxious. She has thrown things at me. Does anyone have trouble with physical aggression?
