TCM as complement for heart attack recovery

0 Recommendations

I am very interested in trying traditional chinese medicine as a complement to the treatment I am receiving (mainstream western medical) in recovery from a heart attack. In particular I hope that TCM could assist with managing the anxiety that often seems so overwhelming at this time (3 weeks post attack), as well as facilitating physical healing. Has anyone had any experience with this combination?
Thanks

Hello,

I'm British (now living in Australia) but was born and raised in Hong Kong. I am subsequently a strong believer in TCM which has long been used as a complement to western medicine in Hong Kong. My father has pancreatic cancer and has been on chemo, which hasn't been successful. He is now exploring alternative medicine (both western alternatives as well as TCM). He still lives in Hong Kong. Although I don't have experience or knowledge on your specific situation I truly believe that TCM could help you as long as you go to a reputable practitioner and keep all doctors informed of any products you are taking.

I see your post was several months ago, I hope you are feeling a lot better now and that you managed to find the treatment that you needed.

Best wishes to you,
Angela
