I had a great thanksgiving. We went to my son Rick's pad for dinner. All four of my sons were there. It was awesome for me. Family is everything to me..
After the dinner and watching football, my wife and I went home. My son Peter came with us. After we got home, we sat at the table and talked for hours. Him talking...me writing on a white board that he had gotten for me months ago.
It was awesome. We talked about politics, sports, tv shows, movies, and lots of things. But not once about ALS.
I miss those conversations with people. Always the conversation turns to my disability.
I guess that is what this disease has robbed me of the most is my desire just to be normal.
Oh well...
This entry is to thank my son, Peter, for treating me so normal that evening. I will never forget it.
