Sleepwalking on ambien

0 Recommendations

Maybe this has been discussed before, nevertheless.......This is just a heads up. My ALS husband who has been put on a C-pap was also put on Ambien to help him sleep. Guess what, one morning there was grape jelly all over the living room from a sleepwalking grape-jelly- sandwich-maker. I checked wikipedia and got a whole page full of similar experiences. So why aren't patients warned about this. Obviously, he is not taking it any more. Has anyone another suggestion that has had good results helping with sleep?

ALS Ambien CPAP Sleepwalking

I would suggest that you use a bipap machine rather than the cpap. The bipap allows for the removal of the carbonmoxide (sp). I had a friend that used the cpap at first and he had a lot of problems. Out doctor at the Cleveland Clinic told him to use the bipap machine instead. I akm lucky for now that I don't need either yet.
This is what I take to help with sleep AMITRIPTYLIN 25 MG 1. It has no side effects like walking in your sleep.
Hope this helps some. Joe
