Oprah Winfrey Show Topic Suggestion - ALS Awarenes

0 Recommendations

On the 23Oct07, the Dr. Phil show hinted of a show about an author who wrote about a friend who had ALS, as it turned out the show was more about bad marriages than anykind of ALS Awareness, about 5-8 minutes is all there was about ALS.

The Oprah Show has an email suggestion page where the public puts in a suggestion for future shows and content.

I feel in my soul an hour show about ALS Awareness on the Oprah Winfrey Show would really have an inpact on America and the World. Imagine PALS on stage and in the audience, Administrators from the ALS Advocacy Community & Other supportive organizations on hand to speak about our degenerative disease, along with the best researchers around.

Myself I feel a cure is on the horizon, what better way to make the world aware of our crippling ailment than to have this topic presented on one of America's best known TV Shows, who has a host, Oprah Winfrey with world renown influence and status.

It wont hurt to try, below I've included the web link for the Oprah Show's suggestion email form. Emailed suggestions would put in the world's limelight a show that potentually could bring about a cure in our 'lifetime' being the producers and Oprah would say 'Yes' to this proposed show topic.

Let's all show the world we need to cure ALS and to Oprah that patients around the world want to put this horrible disease to rest.

Thanks,
Lee

This is a good idea. I submitted the suggestion that Oprah do a show that really gets to the heart of ALS. I did find that the two web links go to the same place, so I just did one. Since Oprah got Phil started, I hope she doesn't get too much negative stuff about what a lousy job he did on his show.

My family and I have sent in numerous suggestions to Oprah's producers for a show on ALS. I agree wholeheartedly that her support and the visibility on her show could have far-reaching effects for the ALS community. Maybe if enough people write in enough times, someone there will take notice!
