I was diagnosed with ALS at the end of Nov. I have atrophy in my left arm and my legs are weakened . I recently discovered my muscle in my left lung wasnt working. My question is a have a very difficult time getting out of bed [ the sofa I sleep on. Is there anything that might help me get up at nite or morning when everyone else is sleeping. thank you and god bless

Talk to your doctor about getting a hospital bed. Insurance will most likely cover it if you have a doctor's note. We are in the process of doing the same thing for my husband, Jim.

hi :)
i use an electric bed which is operated via a remote and positions me in every way possible.it even helps me sit up ,and roll a bit.it is a product of "parlup"which is in germany.i'm sure in the u. s. you'll be able to find such beds with ease.here in israel they import a gazillion types of beds for each individuals needs. sooo,here's wishing you good luck,and,,,,
