Hello, I am new here, Please help me feel comfortable about opening up

My name is Melissa I just recently started looking into projects that might can help my current family. My family looks something like a lot of yours. FALS A4V Sod1 mutation. There have been 7 members of our family pass away from it. A second cousin was recently diagnosed and now i took a test and found out I also carry this gene. The guilt of passing this on to my 3 teenagers, well quite frankly, it devastated me. I wo'nt be around to help them when it eventually becomes their turn, you will either live with people and die with people, but seriously, in the end...everbody dies alone!

I am particpating in a study for Familys at risk for ALS. You have to have 2 or more people be disgnosed or passed away from it to even qualify. But look into it, it's a great study and they gave me my answer right away, just like they promised.

Anway, enough about that....I have 3 kids, a huband, 1 cat, 2 digs, and 5 birds and 2 fish. Fun fun! They're only cute in the store!
