Like the ALS Registry Act S.1382 we may be behind in the score but this match-up is not over. I urge all Advocates to keep those keys on your keyboard clicking. Ask for help if you must, I'm sure anyone is willing to help with your ALS statement and send it on to your state Senator. You can even call and have the Senate office place your zip code on their call log. Tell them we cannot wait for the next Congress to pass S.3297, Advancing Americas Priorities which now includes S.1382. There has been years of hard work involved in this bill and all we can do is keep pushing forward. The Senate returns Sept. 4th, well rested and ready to do work for us. Victory!
Senate Passes the ALS Registry Act
A few minutes ago, the United States Senate passed the ALS Registry Act!! Thanks to your outreach, we have just won a huge victory for people with ALS and their families across the country. We have made a difference!
The bill now heads to the House, which is expected to quickly agree to the Senate version, which included technical changes made during the legislative process.
