Allergy Meds and High blood Pressure

I have a friend who has allergies since 16 (took contact) now she (50) is using claritin D. she only uses it when she can't breath well and thats most of the time.
She is borderline High Blood Pressure and because of the claritin-D (which the doctor prescribes to her) raising it higher her doctor put her on HBP meds. she is having alot of side effect from HBP meds her body is really sensitve to anything she puts in it. She alway is very careful what she takes and eats. She is having anexity attacks (i think) and cant breath and it scares her.

I guess her doctor is clearly not listening to her cause he made her cry yesterday saying she is making all this up because she does not want to be on high blood pressure medication. i told her it is time to get rid of him even if you have been with him along time. we will schedule her an appt with my doctor who is very good this morning.

Is there anyone out there dealing with allergies and High Blood pressure? Her doctor never ran any test even after she told him she was having heart palpations at night. if she does not take the clartin she cant breath. she sleep with vicks at the end of her nose everynight, she has a air cleaner in her bedroom running 24/7. Are there any test they can run on her for sinus problems or allegies. she has alot of drainage in the back of her throat and her nose is almost totally blocked and has to breath through her mouth at night.
