bio-electric augmentation of vagu nerve via fiberobtic linking vagus nerve with undulating stimuli

surgically stringing fiber optic strand along Vagus nerve path ways, with programed micro charge releasing electrical stimulation in a sequentially programed pattern that mimics normal Vagus functioning. This would create a point of origin path way to the terminal extremity.
Benefit all dysfunctional weaknesses and restore normality back to chronic suffers of depression, gastroparasis.

Pacemaker Depression

Hi KnightLight,
Where did you hear about something like this.
i am curious
Marie

This is creative thinking on my part, not researched
material.
What I do Know is that electric implants are use in the head for depression by stimulating the Vagus nerve.
Electrical pacemaker in the stomach to stimulate
the Vagus nerve to restore motility to some extent.
What I am hypothesizing is that perhaps the entire
vagus nerve could be mapped and a fiberoptic line
could be run parallel to this nerve system and
be stimulated from the head to the extremities of this
nerve and be stimulate the full lenght of the nerve.
Again, the technology may not yet be developed to do this.
My thoughts are just some future possibly.

It sounds as if you really got this down, maybe you could talk to a gp doc. I see the logic behind it , maybe this is your calling to create a way to help all of us....

Best Wishes

Hi Marie,
I wish I was more educated and was more grounded in
biology, medical knowledge, and research methodology.
Alas, I am just an average person with a hope that maybe
someone who really knows this field of research might
read what I wrote, laugh at my naive ramblings, but will
ponder the idea and correctly consider and create something
more sophisticated and more technologically possible than I could ever imagine.

David,

It is very possible someone will read this and run with it. We never know. I'm glad you put it out there...in case.

Blessings,
Loie

Thank you Lorie,
Research money is tight,
It seems that medical research is not a top priority.
I believe that it will take an act of God to change the
minds of those who can fund this type of research.
I believe more in prayer than our national concerns.
May God move in the hearts and minds of those that
can provide for this research.
Praise and Blessing to you and all who contribute to
this support group.
David
