just at the end of my rope with child that hads gastroparesis with pain and feelings of thowing up please does anyone out there have anything to share to help me to keep sane before i get arrested for having my child out of school with pain. speicalily in the morning and school system does had any understanding because they dont know that many children with this problem.

Do you have any paperwork from the doctor for your childs school that could help with the stress and also there are tutors for kids with needs maybe your city can help with that..
I feel so sorry for you both haveing to go thru this but your child has such a rough road and im sure you both would rather not deal with this but sooner or later the pain will ease up for him/her and maybe you can get some liquids in, the key is to find a good doctor who will work with you both

My mother got a note from the doctor to allow me to go to school one hour late every day when I was in high school. She had to use the "IEP" process through the school to get tutoring after school to make up for the missed time. Maybe you can do the same.

I hope your child has a good gastroenterologist who knows about gastroparesis. If not, there is a good list of Gastric Motility Specialists here:

Sounds like a good idea to get a tutor at home. You might have speak to the person in charge of Special Education and get an IEP as mentioned above. (Individualized Education Plan). Your justification would be chronic illness.
