Does anyone know if Tumeric will flare up GP?

0 Recommendations

I recently started taking a tumeric supplement for arthritus and fibromyalgia, both of which cause inflammation, that cause major pain. My hands are a little better after four days of putting this is my food as directed, but my tummy which has been so good is acting up, I got nauseated after the last use yesterday. I decided to stop it and ask someone here if they know anything about tumeric. I tried it because the Health food store was doing a demo about it in curries and all the wonderful antiinflammatory properties it has. What can I say, I will try anything once? Gina

Gina,

As you know, everyone's GP and GI symptoms are different. If you want to know about how people have done with tumeric, check out earthclinic.com and also ask busyteacher from this group. I'm pretty sure she takes tumeric supplements.

Take care, Allie

Are you taking them in capsules, so that they dissolve in your stomach? That's the only way I can tolerate the paprika. Incidentally, it might be much less expensive to make your own--and then you might be able to regulate the dose, or spread it out over the day, so your body doesn't get it all at once.

Thank You, I will check it out right now! :) Gina

Dear Kara, Thank you for your reply, I take it in a capsule of 300mgs. by Solaray. I just settled down and I will consult a nutrionist tomorrow. I will let you know what she said. Big Hug :) Gina

Good luck. It's quite a balancing act, isn't it?

Hi Gals and Guys, just got back from nutritionist, and guess what? I had some kind of yeast die off from the tumeric, she says it is good at killing off bad microorganisms in the intestines. I have felt good since stopping but she is encouraging me to restart it, so I am. It is also good to prevent alzhiemers plaque, heart, cleansing one's colon of parasites or yeast.( me) Other anti-inflammatory are ginger and cinnamon help with retaining and boosting cognitive function, also rosemary helps the brain too! She is just a wealth of info! My best friends daughter is awesome, I still can't eat lentils, beans, veggies or lots of meat esp pork, staying on phase III diet and avoiding fats and lucky to be able to still eat. Just wanted to share what I learned with you all. Have a Blessed Day! : )) Gina
