colon surgery

Due to hernias, constipation, gallbladder problems, etc. I fianlly had to have my colon removed. I haven't found anyone else that has been through this and am experiences problems. I have questions about what is "normal", what to expect, what is permanent and what will change... Please help!

Hi,

The "normal" consistency is liquid which splats all over the place. The frequency is different for me because I have slow motility/IBS. 20 years ago I use go 1-2x daily. I've had anal dilitations and now go about 5x daily. Thats around the normal. You can change your consistency by using probiotics. I use PB 8 and it causes mine to thicken and sometimes actually form.
