Hi! I am just wondering if anyone has had any luck with biofeedback for gastroparesis. Thanks in advance.

HI have tried that for my GP and for my migraines and it did nothing for me. Hopefully that will not be case for you.
Best of luck!

I found that biofeedback aided with the constipation issue. It wasn't a whole lot, but even a small measure of help is something.

What is biofeedback?

Biofeedback worked for me for constipation. Plus I take miralax and eat 2 fruits like apple or pears a day plus lots of vegies.

How do you eat apples & pears & veggies, if you don't mind me asking? Cooked? Pureed? I was told that we can't have them raw & it's been so hard here in apple season. Let alone that I haven't really had any non mashed/pureed veggies since I was diagnosed (except I just started eating frozen asparagus & its working).

Hi JoAllison,
I think I led you astray. I don't have gastroparesis. There was a time for about 9 months when I wasn't digesting right and I did a lot of probiotics and ate very little, mostly avocados. It got better. Constipation was a huge deal for about 2 years. I needed to do the biofeedback because of that. Because of constipation it is not uncommon to end up with pelvic floor dysfunction. Basically you forget how to use the muscles in the abdominal area because you got retrained due to the problem to strain. Biofeedback retrains you how to eliminate. You learn not to strain because it makes elimination almost impossible. I eat fresh fruits and vegies and miralax to keep things soft.
