I am on xeloda + avastin for the past 12 months.
One week on, one week off.
The marker went down from 180 to 110 after 2 months
Now it is back to 180.
What are my options now?
Does anyone have an experience with this?
My Doc said in the past it will work only for one to two years.

I am on Xeloda 2 weeks on 1 week off and Avastin every 3 weeks. They just lowered my Xeloda to 3 (500) day and 2 (500) pm. Because my white count was down.
I dont get tumor markers where I go . I have only been on since Sept. I get scanned the middle of Nov so hoping it works.

I wish I had more info for you, but what I have been told is the following. I have bone mets and initially was on Zometa and Faslodax, which did not work. So, I asked the same question that you have just asked and was told that there are a LOT of various options for bone mets. Now, I am on Xeloda (chemo pills) and Zometa. However, there were many other options mentioned during the visit to my regular Onc. and my visit to Vandy for a 2nd opinion. Hope this helps a little!
