Reqest for Prayers and Positive Energy

0 Recommendations

Hello All~
A very good friend of mine (whom I just happened to meet via this web site) is heading for the ever-popular scans and tests today. Her story is somewhat unique, in that she lives in Alaska and must fly to Seattle for treatment. So, I'm asking all of you super heros to send some positive energy to Seattle over the next few days. Oh, and if there's any left, I'll take some for Friday when I get my own scan.

Love you all, peace~

Hey Beach,

I'll pray for ReneP and you to Beach. Rene good luck with your tests darling. Beach, my pet scan is scheduled for 6:45 on thursday, first one since starting Femara to see if treatment is working. Then on Friday, I will be getting my Zometa and Lupron, Oh happy day! I also have a love hate realationship with Zometa. I know it strengthens the bones and helps lick cancers a--. But my whole weekend is dedicated to the couch and cable and food and frustration, and bitchiness and ........Get my picture! Be well Ladies, Hugs & More Hugs!

THANKS GALS
you are the best!
all prayers and traveling mercies are welcome.
i'll post more once i know...
ANd my thoughts and prayers are with you both - Renee and Beach as you endure your own scanxiety!

xoxo
Rene

ReneP,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there and keep up the faith! I pray that God give you strength.

Beachbabe, remember to grin like a maniac while you are getting your scans, you as well as all the many full time cancer fighters are in my thoughts and prayers.

I too, unfortunately must start another round of radiation this Wednesday to my shoulder and neck. The only dreadful side effect is fatigue. When I had my last round of radiation in September I had trouble swallowing because the radiation interfered with my esophagus, luckily this time they will not be radiating that area.

I wish you all luck with up-coming appointments, scans and treatments. Keep up the good fight! Together we can tread through this cancer journey and draw strength from one another.

God Bless! :-)

Lots of Luck to all of you ladies going thru these scans . New year ..new us !!!

lots Of Prayers!

Sending good karma all the way to Seatlle and New York. Remember those deep breaths to help with the scanaxiety and think of all our smiles to get beyond the noise.

Blessings.
Gail

Thanks, Buddies! Oh, Reneepals I hear you... my week-end will consist of sacking out on the "sick couch" (which is still on the back sun porch because the #I*@! X-mas tree is still up, when is it getting moved back in to the family room????) watching DVDs. I normally do medical shows (House and Greys Anatomy)...I think I most assuredly have earned my doctorate by now. I bought my hubby "Mad Men" DVDs for X-mas, perhaps I'll become an advertising executive from the 1960s as well...

Scans bite the big one but cancer watch out cause we're coming to take your picture and you ain't all that....

What's the keystroke that makes a scull and crossbones???? Yes, let's be cancer fighting pirates...aaarrrggghhhhhh....

Best prayers and wishes to both you wonderful ladies on your scans!! Who knew a few minutes of our lives could hold us in such an anxious grip.

Blessings,
Lynn

I'm keeping you both in my prayers!

Good luck to you both - keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am between scans, had bone scan yesterday and dreaded ct scan today (am allergic to the contrast dye) and I threw up half of the stuff I had to drink last night - so maybe they wont do it......
its 6:30 and my scan is at 9..... time to recover... I dont know....

Oh and by the way, I had a medical crisis with some of the drugs I was on... and I woke to hear CT brain scan.... and saw a bright light flash... and I had no way to tell them I was allergic... so now I wear the big ugly black medic alert bracelet...

May the force be with you, Dreamy...may the force be with all of us!!!!!!!!

Just heard from my buddy....scans show no new progression for her....woo hoo party down!!!!!! Keep up the prayer network and the positive energy, it's working my friends :)

Blow a kiss to your buddy.

No progression is as close to NED as we can get sometimes... so happy dance time.

I got through the scan, so I can relax until the report comes in... friday or monday.

Good Luck and Good Wishes with positive energy coming your way!!! It must be that time! I too am on the scan circuit this week.

Thanks gals!
yes, my scan came back great! - no progression, maybe even a little shrinkage and NO uptake on the PET! which means i'll drop the avastin continue on the abraxane and have surgery in 8 weeks with radiation to follow a month later. perhaps NED after that???? fingers crossed, prayers said, more to be revealed later...

Great to hear the good news of scans!!

That is wonderful news on the scans!!

Hi all-
I'm late on the game here - still out on the road in Florida and should be home Tuesday. This is my first check in here since I left 1/7.
I'm SO glad to hear about ReneP's great scan results!
And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Beachbabe's scans too. OX (is that a skull and crossbones??)

Wow, lots of scanning going on. I am sending additional positive energy to all that are involved, from Idaho. Yes, there is life out here too. I am not due for a PET scan until Feb. Lets get a positive trend going.
