This is my friend Margaret...stage 4. We're chemo buds. I'm honored to share an infusion recliner next to her for the past 2+ years. She plays LaCrosse, runs and has 3 small kids. This is the 2nd year she has come in 1st in the SBK Race in Philadelphia. She inspires me and she's one hot cancer chick! Congrats Margaret!!! Here was her message w CBS coverage link.- Barb

Hello there,

I just wanted to share the exciting news that I had a great race today in the Race for the Cure. It was a beautiful day, and I know so many of you were cheering for me. Thank you.

Watch the section on 'Thousands Participate in the Race' (annoying commercial kicks it off).

Aileen, Barb, Julie and Toni-I raced for you today!

Yeah, as I'm poking about today and I think about her winning again, I literally get goosebumps..the good kind. And tomorrow on treatment she getting an alligator shirt and button!

My goodness! I'm proud my name is Margaret. It sounds this name comes from a long line of fighters. I'm going to have to live up to her example!!

Wow...go Margaret! I shouldn't have had the honor to speak Saturday night in Philly, SHE should have ;) It reminds me of that old joke, "Doc will I be able to play the piano after surgery?" The doc answers, "Sure." And the patient says, "That's good, because I couldn't play before!" Ba-dump-dump. Can I run a marathon AFTER Stage 4 diagnosis when I was a sorry sack before? Yes, I suppose I can, just like Margaret!

Hugs to all~

That's what I said BB. Even in my prime I couldn't run. Lift heavy stuff yeah...run...never. LOL

Margaret,
Thanks for giving a voice to stage IV and for giving hope to us all!!
