Taxotere

My wife is in her second month of a 3-month regiment
Taxotere once a week for 3 weeks combined with 4 Xeloda & 5 Tykerb Daily (10 days on -10 days off).

Then Herceptin and zometa on the 4th wk or what we call the skip week.

How is she doing regarding side effects? I guess with having Xeloda 10 on and 10 off, her side effects should be minimal. Is she also doing Tykerb 10 on and 10 off? I've never heard of that. I have been on it everyday since the end of June. I had Taxotere and Herceptin together...not bad...just the hair loss was unpleasant. This was early in my diagnosis. My CT scan showed that it was shrinking my liver mets...then, the doc took me off thinking that Herceptin might hold me....month and 1/2 later, I had a recurrence in my breast. BUT, I believe that I should have been kept on Taxotere and still believe I could go back to it.
Best of luck to your wife on this regime..keep us posted!
