My name is Mindy and I have worked with the State of Missouri for 18 years. I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in November 1999. Next month is my ten-year "anniversary" as a diabetic. I won't have cake or sugary soda on my anniversary for two reasons: (1) it's nothing to celebrate and (2) I don't want to go down the primrose path to bad eating habits. I have enough little slip-ups as it is.
When I am not working for the State of Missouri, I am a published writer. Now, this does not mean that I never forget grammar rules or publish an article without any errors in it. Nope. I'm a normal person who sometimes does not put "I before E, except after C." Since diabetes causes so many other problems, maybe I could say that my writing is "diabetes challenged."
Ah, nope. That won't work.
I am here at Inspire to get, well INSPIRED. I'm always happy to receive positive output and creative ways to manage this hideous disease.
So, send me some good stuff.
