For those affected by Kidney Cancer (Renal Cell Carcinoma) -- there are many great developments that have occurred this year. As a 12-year survivor, I will be glad to pass along information to those who would like to learn more about this cancer that defies conventional treatments and standard follow-up protocols.
In 2010, hopefully there will be enough interest from kidney cancer survivors in NC & SC to start several support groups, as well as other regions in the country.
One is already meeting at Duke Hospital the second Monday of every month.
I am attaching a link to the information that is listed under the events calendar of the Kidney Cancer Association. The calendar also lists many other meetings throughout the US.
