Broke my leg last week playing soccer- so the main way I deal with stress and grief, working out, is gone for the next four weeks. I am bummed out. Just as I was really back into working out, this happens. I am trying to look on the bright side that the break was not bad and I won't need surgery, but jeez. It's hard to keep my spirits up and not get siderailed by my frustration.
Exercise has been such a great way to deal with everything. I have to find some new outlets for stress and ways to workout while my heart and leg heals.

Chin up, try upper body movements since you can't do much with your leg. Just find ways to move your body, it's a stress reliever in itself. You'll be back to walking in no time.

HI,
I was curious if you always worked out and always kept up with it, or stopped when you had your children and then got back into it? I used to TEACH those exhausting aerobic classes years ago before kids and before being married, and now I am trying to just walk regularly. Would you/have you ever used a treadmill, or do you like being outside for workouts or a gym?

Kathy
