HI, so yesterday I went in for my follow up appointment. I was hoping to have a bit of closure, but really felt rushed. He did an internal and said all looked as it should for 5 weeks post treatment. He said there was no visible tumor. He also did a pap but said at this point there was not really a use for it, as the cells will come back abnormal anyways due to the radiation. He told me to come back in 3 months. Has anyone from Canada had this same type of follow up, do they just do paps every 3 months, or are there eccs and punch biopsies done? I didnt have time to ask him any questions as he left so fast.

Honey, I would get another doctor! A female who has a bit more knowledge and doesn't talk to you that way. Men Dr's can be so flipant and harsh sometimes. I won't have one even close to me!
Good luck!

I'm canadian and have a male dr. he takes time to talk to me but he's not telling me what i want to hear.

i just had a three mth follow up after a leep and he did a pap, he said he saw something but wasn't going to do a biopsy so i told him to go ahead. i thought it was strange that he did a pab given what i read on line but maybe they do do them there....good luck.
