Things I am happy for.

Happy New Year to all!
as I sit here drinking my morning coffee and getting ready to wake up "sleeping beauty" for her appt. to get her avastin, I wanted to write and share some thoughts about things I am happy and thankful about:
-I am happy that another day has arrived and Cathy and I are together to share it.
-I am thankful for the honor of being able to comfort her and give her my love.
-I am thankful that God has given me the inner strength to face each day with a smile no matter what comes my way.
-I am greatful for all of you here and the love, comfort and friendship we share.
-I am thankful for each moment in time that gives me another memory.
-and I am thankful to God for the continued good health he sends to Cathy.
May you all have peace, comfort and love in your lives each moment of every day and remember to laugh and LIVE!
God Bless,

Bill & Cathy

Bill and Cathy,

2010 is a brand new start for many of us. I am very happy about a lot of the same things.

Living in a house with 4 generations of men is no picnic in the park, but I love them, so I always look before I leap :)

Saw my Onc today. Tomorrow is 3 years since diagnosis and soon will be 2 years on Tarceva.

After today, My Onc gets to live another day :)
Bad Marylou

Can I say "ditto"?

Thanks for putting this so well.

since when did you start avastin? i thought you were on tarceva only?

No Kfrogger, Cathy has been on avastin since the start with taxol and carbo.....white blood cells couldnt handle it any longer after 4 months and chemo changed to Alimta and avastin....progression 4 months later and Feb. last year she went on Tarceva and as always stayed on avastin.

Bill

Thanks, Bill, for the beautiful thoughts. What a great way to start the morning! I really believe that gratitude is probably the best medicine anyone can have in battling cancer. But, of course, among the things I'm MOST grateful for are Tarceva and Avastin!

My best thoughts go to you and Cathy for many, many good years to come!
