Ok a neat person on here wrote a reply to one of my journal entries and talked about vibration thearapy or something like that. Well I got an idea sitting and thinking about it. Now at therapy they use one of those vibrators on Matthew's legs called a Magic Wand. It is a neat to watch because when she stimulates Matt's leg with it he can get a good amount of movement in his leg pushing it out and pulling it back. Well last night after reading about this therapy with vibration I decided to play Mad scientist with my son. I have a full body Massage pad. Not those ones with the moving balls in them that hurt.. this just vibrates from head to toe and has heat but we didn't use that. I put the pad on his bed and he transfered onto it. He smiled and laughed at his bodies response to the vibrations and then he said look at my feet mom. He said now watch. from left to right he could move the top portion of his feet bending them down and back in short controled movements I turned the vibrations off and he could only get a little movement on the right toe.. again I turned on the vibrations and he was able to make these controlled movements again. We shared this at therapy today and they said that the vibration theory was debunked.. don't work... But we got it to work... and will keep doing it. We will also show them that it works.... Matt only had one complaint and that is after awhile it started to get anoying the vibration on his upper back. So we turned that level off. Anyone else ever try this?
