Hello, old friends and new.

Today is a big day for us! We have made numerous improvements to your community, most that were suggestions from you. As you can see the site is very different then before. Please take your time and look around, there is lots to see! Check your privacy settings and make sure that you are sharing your personal information as you would like to. If you see something on the site that's confusing, or find that something isn't working for you, drop us a line. It's most likely not you! We love to hear your feedback - it what helps us to improve Inspire more than anything else!

Inspire works because we support and care for one another. Thank you for being a part of that. The support and encouragement our community members offer one another is an inspiration to us all.

Hi Beth:

From our entire NCCC membership to you, we welcome the new look of the online NCCC group we sponsor and know your hard work will help many!

Warm regards,

Alan Kaye and entire NCCC

I for one HATE the changes. It's easier to read and looks more professional, but the site lost everything that made it warm and special.

And, why on Earth should everyone get to see who our personal friends are?

I think you have violated our privacy which was the only reason I felt safe here.

You really, collectively, ruined the site with callous and wanton disregard for the needy members of the community.

Hi D1,

You can make your friends list private if you wish. Just click "Me" in the very top bar on the page. Then click "Settings" this will allow you to choose, field by field, who sees what.

I'm sorry you feel we've violated your privacy, but you have control over your settings, please review these here: https://www.inspire.com/account.pl

If you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks,
Beth

What did you do? I cannot even access the blog I want to read on Mayo Clinic when I click on it.

There is not even a heading for blogs. I tried journals and that didn't get me there either.

Dealing with sarc brain fog is bad enough and now I can't even read the things I enjoy being able to read everyday. Why did you make it harder? The old site was self-explanitory.

Then after writing you a message it didn't get to you and I had to rewrite it.

I am so frustrated I could scream! HELP!! I don't want to lose access to this site it has been very helpful to me.

Ruther

I just sent you an email. Did you get it?

You do sound frustrated, but please don't scream. All your sarc friends can be found in the FSR Support Community. It's here.

Blogs are now called Journals. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I can be found at beth@inspire.com

Hate the new look - yea easier to read but...looks too sterile - also - how do we find the friends we had added and the message center for those sending us messages? Change is not always good!!!

Hi Beth

I will have to look into all the changes but of what I see looks great.

Keep up the good work!

Dan

Why must you make someone a "friend" in order to send them a message or reply to one they send you? I don't get this feature, and feel it is a privacy invasion too. Don't see anything that makes this new format better than the old one, and it is actually harder to find recent messages.

what i miss most is the list of new members, on the same page as other entries - could see who was joining from around the world. it was a great feature.

singernomore,

You can see all of the new members of the Stop Sarcoidosis group here:

https://www.inspire.com/groups/stop-sarcoidosis/new/members/

Each group has a page just like that.

Walter

Hi FuschiaFan ,

As a team leader you will be able to send messages to all members of the paralysis group without being their friends just like in the old Community. It is something we are working to fix right now.

You can choose who sees your friends list and all of your profile things by going here:https://www.inspire.com/account.pl?op=privacy

The posts are arranged several different ways. If you go here: http://www.inspire.com/groups/paralysis-resource-center/new/ you'll see that you can see Active, Recommended, just discussions, and just journals. That should help you find what you are looking for and we are also working on a search.

Hang in there and thanks for your patience! If you have any questions, please let us know!

Until yesterday I got daily emails from WomanHeart with new and ongoing discussions and blog entries. I didn't get one today, and I can't figure out exactly where these things are located on the new interface.

Will you be sending the daily emails?

On the subject of the daily activity summary messages (formerly known as the daily newsletter) - we've seen some delays getting mail out to certain mail systems of late, so it's possible that some messages will take a while to make it out to you. We're working to fix that. Thanks for your patience.

Walter

I don't like this new look. I only recently found the site and the other look was more welcoming and very easy to navigate. Please continue to work on this new look and the features, it is very disappointing.

This site was user-friendly and useful. Now it's not. Why do I suddenly have all these other groups around? I only want the ovarian cancer group. Is there a way to do that? Before the changes, I had a daily e-mail for ovarian, and it showed a list of updated and new topics. I simply clicked on the ones I was interested in. Quick and easy. And now it's not.

Dot

Hi Dot,

You certainly don't have to join any other groups. And you can leave this group if you want - just click "Join" about and then "Leave this group." We just add everyone to this group because it's where we post helpful things like how-tos, information on new features, and so on.

You daily e-mail looks a little different, but will keep you up to date with what's going on in your group just the same.

Hope that helps.

Walter

im really sorry, but the forum has lost all its style and personality. it was so friendly and warm before and now its sterile and inprofessional. sorry but its true!

Hi TeamInspire: So far I really like the new look!!! Some people don't like change and I'm one of those, but if the change causes me to learn new things then change is good.

We used to be able to see a members profile by hovering over their name, but now you actually have to click the link, can the hovering action with info come back to us? I would also like to be able to edit all of my post's, instead of just the first one in a thread, is that a possibility?

Keep up the good work, and once I get used to the new site I think I'll make some minor suggestions.

Thanks...

Since the change I am not receiving my daily newsletter.

It also sets up for another reply for the one you just finished. You will get two emails from me and one blank one. Why?

Sorry, this journal entry is closed to replies.
