New feature - profile completeness gauge

9 Recommendations

Greetings from TeamInspire! I'm your friendly neighborhood designer, here to tell you about some new features.

You might notice that today we revamped your member homepage - https://www.inspire.com/member-home.pl In response to feedback we've gotten we’ve moved the "New in your groups" and "New from your friends" sections to the left, and expanded the number of new posts you can see per group to twenty. (Soon we'll be making those posts be the most recently active posts just like the group homepages).

Along with this you'll probably also notice a bar on the right labeled "Your profile," that says "x of 8 complete." This is the new feature that'll let you track how much of your profile you've completed. Why complete your profile? A complete profile helps connect you to people who have similar interests, experiences, and conditions - and you have complete control over your privacy.

What makes your profile complete?

* Join some groups
* Add a photo
* Add some interests
* Share your story
* Tell us what inspires you
* Inspire others
* Start your journal
* Add your favorite links

Hope you like the changes, and keep the feedback coming!

I just wanted to thank you for doing such a good job at the design on this website. This is the easiest website to use that I have ever seen. Great job and thanks!

Thanks for a terrific job... I like the layout better now. Tell all that work here Thanks for such a great job.

What's the easiest way to get back to the NOF community board from my personal account page? I'm able to do it, but there must be an easier way since the back button won't work unless I was just at the New/Active post's. Can we now have more Fav Links than before? I have more I would like to post on my page. When I first filled it out I used up the limit, but haven't checked to see if the limit has been increased.

Never mind I just answered my own questions, once I looked at the new format again. I have 3 more spaces for links to add to my list, and returning to the opening page is really easy now, since it's listed at the top of my post's. I wish there were more spaces for links ;)

I just want to say thanks for listening to the members and working so diligent to make the site user friendly. I really appreciate this site, the members of this site and everyone that has put the hours in on making this site user friendly.

Hi windblown,

We increased the number of favorite links from 10 to 20, so you should have more spaces now.

Thanks!

Hi Inspire,

Well done on the website. I am a totally blind member using Jaws 10 Screen reading technology and this site is a breeze to navigate around. Cheers

Very nice and easier to follow.
Thank you.

I like the site but I was wondering if you could change the picture of the three gals in the silly swim caps. I think it misrepresents older women. I swim all summer alongside many fit women of my age (55+). We use all kinds of fitness equipment to enhance our exercise and get the most out of our swim routine. No one wears flower caps. Can you show a more flattering picture of women of advanced age.

Nice I like the new design very lively and family atmosphere. Thanks it make frown turn upside down lol : )

I totally agree with your desire to have us portrayed in a politically correct way....I have one question? Where in the world is the picture of someone in a flower swim hat? I had one in the 50's and I loved it. carosu

I have a concern......

If I join other groups that apply to my family/friends illnesses,
my Bladder Cancer group gets lost.
It is not at the top of the list.

Is there a way to join other groups without all the
information attached to the group?

Oops...
looks like after I got out of it, my group was put at the top.
Sorry.

Appreciate the interest to improve an already great site.
Spell check coming any time soon?

Thank you
