What to give up for New Years?

0 Recommendations

This is a hard thing to think about, when you have given up most every thing you know for the sake of illness. Illness some how changes our lives and all we thought we knew. So how can I do this? I will take each day and do something kind for someone. I will make a point to give one extra smile if that is all I have to give that day. I will take that half of a second to make this world better than it was the day before. It is such a relief to realize I still can give something.

Love and Light,
" :-) "

I agree we give up a lot for our illnesses. It sucks that a champagne toast at midnight on New Year's Eve is out of the question! But anyway, I reolve to appreciate what I don't have to give up, realize that people are worse off then me and thank God for what I have. I also realize that we are only dealt as much as we can handle so I feel grateful that with all I deal with in illness, I can do it and others could not! I resolve to stay a better friend and keep in contact with people more.

I like that too. I also believe we are not given more than we can handle. Sometimes I look up and say "I think you got the wrong Tamyra." :-) Keep on Keeping on.

I am postiive that we are here for a purpose and to give up something we love can make us realize just how precious life really is. I think we who are sick endure many trials, not to our simply endure. We are able to endure with God's help. It takes strong faith to be an ill person who endures too! We can always no matter what the situation, strive to be a better person. We can help others, give love where needed, and be concerned about others. We can set a fine example of endurance

Thanks, I'm doing a little better these days. How are you? Did you get your new house? Are you finished with shool?

I am going to graduate the first part of school in may. I will then go back in the fall. The house deal fell through. We need one more than ever!! I am not doing so hot, as I was in a car accident a week ago. My car was totalled and I am on crutches. I will not be able to drive right away. My doctor says I am having moderate to severe partial seizures and he won't allow me to drive for 6 months. My EEG did not prove anything. I do not know what I am going to do yet about it.
