They came from the Pacific Northwest on one coast and D.C. from the other........with many cities in between....
Friday night we had a meet and greet and informal meeting at my house as people arrived at O’Hare......all were picked up by us.....

We started early (meeting was held at Finkel Supply) with the ASG Leaders meeting at 8am.....and continued until 6pm....all Saturday was spent discussing meetings, doctor guests, improving meetings....the on line sight...... (You will note one off shoot of that is the uploading of pictures in which many are already partaking) the website and 24 hour hot and help line.....

We discussed having T-shirts to replace the Polo’s when they are gone.......logo on the pocket......deep garnet red on the gray....

We had a conference call with Celgene on how to help our people that can’t afford their drugs and others.....they were wonderful and helpful......taking the time away from the convention (ASCO - http://www.asco.org/ASCOv2/Meetings/ASCO+Annual+Meeting
The abstracts can be accessed at www.abstract.asco.org. ) to talk to us for about an hour...... (We had met the CEO at the NORD meeting a few weeks ago.........network, network, network :=)

For those who wised to stay through Sunday we planned a day of sightseeing...we started off with a drive downtown to the Shedd Aquarium (one of our Board members took a side trip to visit Father Andrew Greely, a friend and in very ill health at this time) but the others saw most of the Shedd experience and after the various exhibits and shows we all met up and had lunch at the Shedd and went along with one of the feeder/divers who happens to be a friend to the river boat architectural tour of Chicago.......after that we did a driving tour to Harpo Studios, Wrigley Field and a few other sights downtown before driving back......most left this am back home......the meeting was fruitful, and intense, the fun was fruitful and intense....and we all look forward to next year......

The annual report will be out soon........should you need awareness items or have any questions do let us know.....
