This is an update on my cancer.

This is an update on my cancer. The news is not good, so feel free to by pass.

I received the results on my latest MRI and CT few weeks ago. Not good! I now have new and larger tumors in both my brain and body. It came as a large shock when my doctor stated I could stop treatment if I wanted to; but, I refuse to go down that way. After talking with Dr. Buscema and my husband, Fred ...I’m going to continue to fight. My lately chemo treatments have been an off and on battle due to my low white and red blood cell counts. I've have 3 great chemos since then.

We came up with a new plan of action. Not sure how long I have….but I’m going to make the most of my time, this battle is not over. Doctor thinks he can help boost my system and in the mean time I plan to spend lots of time with family. I've had 3 great chemos since then. I’m even hoping to take us all to Disneyland in October…. I plan to ride on one of their little Disney carts to the front of every ride!

I wish you all well and I’m so thankful for your friendship and support. I’m very lucky to be loved by family and cared for by great friends. Who could ask for more in life?

Love, Jillie

Jill, you have been heavy on my mind and I will give you a call soon. I am sorry to hear of your news but will not give up praying. Hang in there and I hope you know how special you are to me and all of us. Love, Cindy XXXXOOOO

How brave you are! I applaud you for your courage to continue the fight. Neulasta is so good for the white counts and my MD will give blood transfusions if the red count goes too low. He doesn't use procrit or aranesp very much any more, but prefers blood transfusions. I will pray for good results and that you have some wonderful time with family and friends.

I don't know what you are doing nutrition wise, but I wanted to pass on to you information from an excellent book "Beating Cancer With Nutrition" by Patrick Quillin, PhD,RD,CNS. He goes into great detail and lists case after case after case of people who were given 6 months to live or "to get their affairs in order" who followed the diet, supplement, etc., recommendations in this book and are still alive 3 to 6 years later. Dr. Quillen gives advice on diet, including many recipes, and he developed ImmunoPower which is the least expensive and easiest way to get the supplements that are needed. He served as Vice President of Nutrition for a major nationwide cancer hospital chain, followed by 5 years of clinical practice with cancer patients in San Diego. www.NutritionCancer.com

I have been taking ImmunoPower for a few months (and have changed my diet) and have gone through 2 surgeries for ovc IIIC and 6 intense chemo sessions. I am now doing well with my last CT scan showing no signs of cancer. Good luck and I hope this information may help all those who suffer from all types of cancer.

Be brave but don't ride the amusement rides in October. My husband is a ride inspector and so many people don't think about what the G forces will do to their body. I have not been on an amusement ride in about five years due to health issues and that was before cancer. Good luck with the chemo and keep us informed.

I will say a prayer for you.

Mary

Keep fighting the good fight. I will be praying for you.

Hey, Jillie! You are such a great fighter...don't give up, girl! All your sisters here are pulling for you! I feel the same way you do...enjoy your family and life! None of us know when our time is up...only the Lord God does! So we need to make the best of what time we have...it may be twenty years or tomorrow! We don't really know, do we now?? But for now, I live for today and don't worry about tomorrow :) My son and daughter in law and my 5 precious little grandchildren are coming this weekend on a 17 hr. drive for their 5 week long summer visit and this gramma and papa are taking us all to the beach for a week...yeah!!! ...each year we have a birthday celebration for all of them and last year I did a Hawaiin luau...this year I decorated the house for Christmas (cause we don't get to be with them for the Christmas holiday)...we have lights outside that we will turn on when they arrive...they have no idea...I wrapped all their gifts in Christmas paper :) ...we're going to have Christmas dinner with all the trimmings :) Now, the neighbors may think we're ready for the looney bin, but this gramma is doing what I can so my grandkids remember their gramma! They will remember their gramma was ALOT of fun and loved them very much! Okay, I plan on doing this crazy stuff with them every year as they grow up...I do plan to be here for them...but if the Lord takes me home before that, then they will have lots of fun, love-filled memories of their gramma :) Planning on going to Disney? Go for it! That's awesome! We don't have alot of money, but we save all year for our summer...and use alot of imagination! It always gives us something to look forward to!

God bless you, sister! I'm praying for you :)
Blessings and hugs!!!!

Jillie - you've got the attitude of life. Regardless of how many days, months, or years we have - live them to the fullest, and you sound ready to do that. Have a blast at Disneyland! Keep setting those goals.

Hugs... Maggie

Hi Jullie,

I love y our spirit, you go for it, girl!! Have a wonderful time at Disney. You might be able to enjoy some of the tamer rides, just not the high velocity ones. But seize the day!!

And please keep us up to date on how you are doing. I doubt that you realize how much you help all of us by setting such a wonderful example!!

I'm keeping you close in my prayers and prayers are going up for all the wonderful gals and guys on this site!! Eileen

I'll pray for you Jillie.

You go enjoy yourself and stay positive. Judy
