Excited & Sad

Well, I did it!!! I got the tattoo that I had been wanting for the past ten years. It is sooooooo cool. I just updated my photo to show my new tat; although with my fibromyalgia and etc.... it hurts quite a bit more than the other two.

The sad part is that my hubby is leaving to go 'on the road' with his band; although he will only be gone until Monday.

Things here are doin' okay. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders a bit. The state has approved us for food stamps and I am in the process of completing my application and such for Social Security. I do know that I will get denied, as most cases are... but I will just keep trying.

Ladyforce,

Good for you! Love your tatt. You wear it well!!
Good luck on the SSI. It may take a couple times to get it but keep positive thoughts.

Here are some positive vibes coming your way from me to you.................................

Dear Ladyforce,
I am happy for you and hope things go well for you. Your tattoo is stunning and I think getting something we have wanted for a long time can be a very positive force in our lives
I would, however, like to add a small word of caution. Quite a bit of the research I have been reading tells us that sometimes getting a tattoo can trigger a sarcoidosis attack. The granulomas can cluster around the tattoo and cause a lot of problems.
Not to alarm you, but just be aware.

Thank you Skeeter, Tonya, and Pippin!!! I appreciate the good wishes....

Pippin... I did not know that getting a tat could trigger a sarc attack!!! Ackkkkkk!!! I will keep my eyes open.... and will try not to freak out... ;D

What I found helpful for fibramyalgia was seroquel for sleep, trigger point injections, adequate thyroid replacement for Hashimoto's disease, and growth hormone for adult onset growth hormone deficiency.

Your tat is too cool! I am getting a port in my chest next week but if they can't do it withou messing up my tattoos they're going to catch hell! Hang in there on your wait for social security. They turned me down the first time and I had just had brain surgery & caught meningitis on top of it. They pretty cold people down there but put on your mental warrior armour and keep at it. I think the clincher on mine was work wanted me on medical leave & my neurologist sent me to a neuropsych for evaluation on my cognitive skills that really were sucking even more than my physical symptoms at the time.. Nice to meet you! I want another tattoo next year. It will be 20 years since I lost my husband in a house fire. I am not sure if it will be a good idea because I am on Cytoxan IV therapy every 3 weeks and my immune system is pretty much bottomed out. Hell they'll just have to write me a scrip for an antibiotic!

Sport & Granny... Thanks for your comments...

Sport, thanks for the suggestions... The trigger point injections, are they cortisone? I had 4 cortisone injections in my back in 2001 and the last one punctured my spinal cord... not sure I want to do that again.... I am on two meds for my hashimotos... and have been taking them religiously.... and what can you tell me about the Growth Hormones???

Granny, I understand about the tat thing... I would really be bummed if after all this time, that someone would have to cut it open ;). I will do my best to not get down during all this. I will remember to seek assistance on the memory thing... I had problems at work with memory stuff... and didn't even think that it was due to all this crap... Maybe I should get something from my ex boss (if he will) stating about the problems I was having...
I apologize for the loss of your hubby. My prayers are with you. Let me know about the tats that you have and the one that you want to get.

Thanks again, LadyForce
