I have WD, I received a Transplant in '92 I was 12 now I am 28. My clock is ticking! I need advice on the proper procedures I should take, I already met with the OB/GYN Doctor he recommended me to the High Risk Pregnancy department @ Kaiser in California. Does anyone have any advice?

High risk pregnancy Pregnancy Liver transplant

You no longer have Wilson's if you had a liver transplant! The only thing you would need to be concerned about is the strain on your new liver by the pregnancy. This is probably why you were assigned to the risk department. You only have to take meds for liver rejection and not Wilson's so there is NO risk to you or your baby since you don't have the copper build up in your body and don't have to worry about low copper levels in the developing fetus. If you are in good health and your liver is doing fine, I'd say "go for it!" Good luck with your pregnancy.
