Good and Bad News

Well Today I saw my Pulmonologist and I received the results of my Breathing test and my new CT scan. My breathing came in good, which I am amazed at. I told her she made me really sit there forever until she got a reading she wanted. The Ct scan shows some improvement, but with some crystals in the lower lobes, which he was not concerned about. Now I am worried as this is good but bad for me with my filing for SSI. They had to replace my job this last month and the new person starts this Monday, now what am I going to do. These doctors all told me that I had to apply and that I could no longer do my job and now when I asked well now what am I going to do, they did not know. I do not want to lose my house and everything, I still have kids at home. I know that I cannot go back to my job as the pain is so bad and we all know that by the middle of the day we cannot function. This disease needs to be listed.

Improvement does not mean remission or cure.
Do you have any other secondary conditions? See the SSI guidelines. particularly this new one:

Good luck.

I have fibromyalgia. I also have the sarcoidosis in my Liver. I also have depression, degenerative joint disease, hypothyroidism. I am so worried. I know that I can no longer work like I use to or I will be just as bad as I was, but with SSI, being so picky and not looking at our illness like it should. I will just have to pray, there is not too much I can do about it. Jolene Thanks for your supporting words

Jolene2...I share your concern. I believe that is why I get so frustrated when the doc's claim everything is normal but yet I am in so much pain. I filed for disability...it's been about 3 months I haven't heard anything...I haven't had a fulltime job since Sept of last year.... I tried a couple of partimes and couldn't pull it off. My body is NOT agreeing with what my results are showing and it IS NOT in my mind. I too agree they should add sarc to the list. I wish you well but do know that you are not alone. May God bless you and your situation is my prayer....

File anyway. I am sure that you will get the support needed from your doctors and it will work out. I have Sjogrens Syndrome as a secondary disease. It is listed. I was depressed at times and my doctor noted all that. I was approved. It did take 2 years but I am happy I waited and did fight. I had 32 years at the phone company when I took ill. I retired early but still got approved. The money is nice but the medicare has helped the most. I retired with rotten health insurance and huge copays and this fills it in nice.
Never give up.
