Hi all! Life gets more and more interesting. Sunday I was speaking on being at one with the Lord through music. I played a song for our small group - a song from a tape my husband got at an auction. It was a recording of the original, and not a good one. We wanted to find the original. When we went to a small thrift store in town my husband found the original for 10 cents. The song spoke to us. It's called "Not too far from here." - Someone is hurting, Lord = not too far from here. Someone is down to their last dime - not too far from here........ Monday I spent time with a client who was going through a diificult situation - thanks be to God, after a few hours doors opened for her to have her needs met and be in a safe place, her and her children. ........Last night we received a phone call, and went for our 18 yr old grandaughter - at midnight. At least I was off today......I don't know how long she will be with us, but we're hoping and praying that it will make a difference. She is very attached to me, and knows that I can't be stressed. We'll take this one a day at a time. Pray she is able to find work, and keep working. She wants her own place. Keep on keeping on, press forward one day at a time and keep the faith. Blessings! It's kind of cool you are around to give the help that is needed it goes to the creed we need to expound to each other that no matter how bad we get we are still here for the family we are still here for each other and we are still here for ourselves, we are not defective just sick we can still be there for others that need us just no way we run marathons any more unless you are into that and a nest of killer bees is chasing you. I guess that might make me enthusiastic enough to stretch these old legs that or my cat on crack. We are still valuable I mentor my grand nephews now can you imagine that just look at my writings and imagine how they are going to turn out, well with one foot firmly planted in a faith of God and the other in a faith in their own abilities I guess they will do all right.

hi gram. i know that song also. i have sung it a couple different times for a special at church. the bridge really speaks volumes to me. "help me Lord, not to turn away from pain. help me not to rest while those around me weep. give me your strength and compassion. when somebody finds the road of life to steep." thanks for the reminder. i haven't thought of that song in 10 years or more. i really need to follow that advice. keep up the good work. you are being blessed : )
