Stress Test Music

0 Recommendations

Howdy everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that I did well on my frist stress test s/p multiple SCA. I went 11 minutes and was able to get my heart rate up to 170 bpm (we had up'd the ICD setting to NOT go off earlier). I had made a CD that I had the staff play during the test and I wanted to share it with y'all.

1) Theme from Chariots of Fire
2) Tubthumping - by Chumbawamba
(I Get Knocked Down, but I Get Up Again)
3) Danger Zone (from Top Gun Album)
4) Theme from Rocky (I)

Any other suggestions for inspirational songs to play in the future??? Let hear 'em ... ~D~

Good job on the stress test. I think the CD was a great idea I wish I would of had one like that for my stress test! The only words I heard was from a lady saying "I don't care if your tired". I only got my heartrate up to 157 and had to stop the test as I was blacking out. Not sure how that makes me pass but I am new to all of this. How was your thanksgiving with your family?

How cool is that, see I didn't even think about that. So they let you take in a IPOD or they play the music or something. Cool. I go on Tuesday for my first ETT not sure but the acronym is something about exercise treadmill test I think. Once that is completed I can go to cardio rehab. I need tunes.. thanks for your inspiration.

I recently had my first stress test. I saw a CD player in there but didn't think about bringing a CD! I'll remember for next time... lets hope there is not. ;) I went 13 minutes and got my heart rate to 200... I apparently am not too fit if you know what I mean. Congrats!!

Yea!!!! 11 minutes rocks!!!! Add "Don't go breakin' my heart" by Elton John & KiKi Dee to the mix. I like to listen to that before angios.

That is a great idea. Like danci to the oldies. Nothing like a good beat to keep you going a little longer.
