Heading to Maryland Sunday and Hare Krishna

0 Recommendations

It's almost that time. Time to go get this over with. One more day at work then the infamous "VHL Vacation" I just keep reminding myself..."It is what it is". I stopped the other day to think about it and I'm very privilaged to be able to be involved as a patient at NiH. I fly up very early Sunday morning. Tests will be done Sunday/Monday. Then surgery Tuesday July 7th in the morning at 7am. Then nothing to do but hang out. I'll be discharged and on my way home July 13th. (OMG, I just figured out the new Harry Potter movie will be out...Might have to go by me a wheelchair for the theater after surgery.) I know one thing. I have to find a toilet seat extender thingy. You know, the ones that are kinda like a big tall chunk of plastic. I honestly think the worst part after surgery is having to go to the bathroom. Those who have been there know what I'm talking about.

Recently, I've began talking to the Hare Krishna in my area. They're pretty great people with a great outlook on life. Basically, We are not these bodies. We are a eternal spirit soul that's in an endless cycle of death and rebirth until we successfully return back to Godhead....pretty deep, huh? Well, my girlfriend is getting into it as well. She's already starting to go vegetarian ( as I write this I'm eating a waffle and a big ol' side of bacon ). I like what they stand for , but I fully expect my mom to flip out and say I'm joining a cult when she finds out. Oh well, you can't please everyone.

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama
Rama Rama, Hare Hare

God bless you. If hare krishna works for you, then so be it.

Bacon!!!!! I think your new religious affiliation would frown on that as well as the American Cancer Society.

Let us know how you are doing.
