Is 'dieting' really the answer or should the nutritional needs of the body be met according to what is supposed to be ingested based on our bloodtype and metabollic rates? I asked myself this all the time the last four year, but my problem was looking to gain healthier weight level instead of modifying the flab that accumulated due to an imbalance. I had an over-production of estrogen problem brought on by the consumption of a synthetic bith control homone I was put on when I was just 23 !
No wonder my weight and food consumption habits over the last did not work with each other but rather against. I went on the computer and typed in some words associated to what I needed to find information on: cyst, decrease, hormone, imbalances, endocrine, diets, food, allergies--yes that was a very enlightening word because in 'allergy' searches you find food to body-type compatability charts which also serve a great purpose to keep dieting at bay.
Peter D'Amo suggests in his book by the same title, "Eating Acc to Your Bloodtype?" to look into your own and see what is recommended and I highly encourage the same search into what really works. It does seem that cutting back on any foodstuff is common in any program but some diets are just aboslutely crazy and ladies you know what I mean. Those commercials that claim 'if it sounds weird it probably is', listen to that one, it is one of the more trustworthy commercials.
Anyway look how many cultures of people we have, all of which have one of the bloodtypes, and each blood-type works well with particular foods in each of the four foodgroups. With three body-types, four blood-types and many appetites you wonder where to turn. Starvation? near-starvation ? Liquid or solid? fiber added or not ?
BUT . . . what is really great is that those battling glucose tolerance and insulin breakdowns, the one afflicted with Diabetes, who also have a bloodtype would benefit from something like this, and I say yes. Eating according to your bloodtype is easier. I know eat according to my bloodtype, wow that seems weird.
I was forced too as an ovarian cyst was getting larger and more irritable and lethal also, in its bursting almost three years ago, I changed what my body was getting when my mind and tummy growled together. I found the best 'diet' that works for me is eating the foods that are compatible with my bloodtype. That is AB+ by the way . . . I read the book and it saved me. . .
I now ingest just raw cane sugar and nothing artificial, if I can help it. In my outside research past this book I found processed white sugar added to my estrogen-dominance problem, it is part of the dna in my bloodtype and body type.
I want to keep tremendously fit for myself but it is hard when stress gets in the way. Even though you eat according to what your body truly works best at, beating stress is a whole nother topic.
