Good Luck Girl- Stay Strong, Angela
So, turns out my appointment was yesterday. That sucked but whatever. So, I asked to have my test results anyway and to schedule another appointment. They told me, it was best for me to wait for my doctor to discuss the results with me. I told them, I understand that but I want to see them now. Omgosh, it took like one hour and 4 people to get MY test results. I had a debate with one lady about why I should wait. They couldn't deny me my records but they were really trying to convince me to just wait until next monday. They even went to get the director of medical records for the hospital to try to get me to wait but I have been waiting long enough. In all that time they spent debating with me they could have xeroxed that shit and I would have been on my way. It doesn't take 3 weeks for test results to come back in the first place and they were lucky I didn't ask them for my records prior to my supposed scheduled appointment. It was such an unnecessary hassle and I had waited long enough. Just want to get down to business.
So anywho, I got my results and I will "consult" with the doctor next Monday. This is what the results say:
1) Endocervical cutterings:
MULTIPLE FRAGMENTS OF BENIGN ENDOCERVICAL GLANDS.
2) CERVICAL MUCOSA AT TRANSFORMATION ZONE WITH EXTENSIVE SQUAMOUS METAPLASIA AND FOCAL MILD HPV-RELATED CYTOPATHIC CHNAGES, CIN-I.
CLINICAL DATA:
LSIL, hisotry of abnomral pap, higgh risk, G0P0
I am sooo happy to finally have my results. I haven't quite figured them out and THAT IS PERFECTLY OK. I have no problem sitting to discuss in great detail the results, what they mean, and what actions to take from this point on. But now that I have a better idea of what is going on, I feel a lot better about the situation. Then again, if anyone has seen results like this before, I have no problem with you weighing in on them. What might these results mean for me? I assure you, it won't cause me anymore worry than I have already caused for myself, lol. Thankies!
hi chavonia. it continues to surprise me that some doctors make an appointment to share test results; it doesn't seem a good use of their time, your time, or costs....because i bet they charge you for that visit. anyway, your results are good news....i hope you realize that....well, good in the grand scheme of things. bottomline, it's indicating that you have mild dysplasia or CIN1, which corresponds to LSIL on the pap. the standard protocol for this situation would be to do a watch and wait to see if the dysplasia clears without treatment. this is when you need to really work on getting yourself as healthy as possible, lots of sleep, eating well (all the 'good veggies'!), reducing stress, etc.
Hey Flowers,
I know, isn't it great news!!!! And you will be happy to know that I am taking great care of my health. I am also a vegetarian so I am hot in the veggie biz! Thanks sooo much for all of your insight. You rer a treasure to everyone on this site =D
dear Chavonia :
You worried yourself too much before recieving that result and that is normal but thank God it is CIN1 and nothing worse. flowershoplady is right about CIN1 clearing on their own. I guess all you would need to do now is to take care of yourself and boost tyhat immunesystem. There are some herbal Echinacea capsules that would help your immune system. I have bought them from a whole food store but you can get them from any where. Oh i am so happy for you.
Bless you.
Hi Chavonia -- Also, the immune system that's really important is your local mucosal immune system at the cervix/vagina. (We have different immune systems in our body.)
So it's especially important to get the area at the cervix/vagina healthy -- no douching, no irritants, clear up any infections (bacterial, yeast) and maybe ask the doctor what else you can do to promote the health of that specific area. For me, that also meant no tampons, which were irritating for me. I also had a naturopath put me on an anti-inflammatory diet, which also seemed to help the general health of that area (since inflammation does affect mucosal areas in the body).
Chavonia,
It's good to hear of how you stood up for yourself about knowing your results, that ability is really going to help take care of your whole self. I suggest being as good to yourself as you can be, good sleep, good eats, good times (laughing, smiling) and a good outlook.
Let some sun shine on you girl, listen to the birds, and love your life!
I just had my first pap in a year (yeah for not needing one every 3 months) and I'll get my results in two weeks. I'm staying postive!

Thanks for all of your insight and support. I have been crazy at the library since all this started researching the immune system and how to strengthen its natural disease fighting capabilities. I appreciate all of your good advice and I will continue to pray for everyone on the site.
I am so happy to hear that your biposy came back CIN I. You must be so relieved. You should ask them if they will do cryo, which just freezes the top layer of cells.
