OK SO FAR I'M DOING IT. I'VE DONE THE TREAD MILL FOR 30 MINUTES THREE DAYS IN A ROLL AND I'M FOLLOWING THE WW PROGRAM. HURRAY HURRAY HURRAY. MY FIRST GOAL WEIGHT I HAVE SET HERE I COME. ....CATHY

By the way, those of you who are reluctant to give up your Pepsi because of the caffiene withdrawl-----could you consider just doing a slow taper ---- to say, 1 can a day? I mean slow.......I know about the headache part.

The reason I say that is the sugar calories sure do interfere with the way the body sees and craves carbs - at least in my experience.

NO I FORGOT TO WATCH OPRAH AND I REALLY WANTED TO. WAS IT A GOOD SHOW? FOR THE LONGEST TIME I WONDERED WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH HER AND I'M GLAD SHE FINALLY CAME CLEAN ABOUT THE WEIGHT GAIN. FOR A WHILE SHE KEPT BLAIMING IT ON HER TYROID.
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT THE SALT THING. I HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND OF COURSE MY COMFORT FOOD ARE CHIPS AND DIP. IT TAKES TIME BUT AFTER A WHILE IT DOESN'T MATTER AS MUCH. I did the tread mill today while watching television. I know if I was not doing a life change right now I would be snacking on chips. I ate pretty good and healthy today but I found that I craved salt today. I really need to get my salt intake down. I purchase some sea salt for my popcorn that I will pop tomorrow.

B I KNOW WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM ON THE PEPSI. I DRINK DIET AND I LOST 53LBS BEFORE AND I GOT THE HEADACHE TOO SO I WON'T GIVE IT UP. WELL I'M NOT CUTTING BACK ON FOOD JUST FOLLOWING THE PROGRAM BETTER. IN STEAD OF TAKING A WALK I DID 60 MINUTES TOTAL ON THE TREAD MILL. I STILL HAVE THE REST OF THE NIGHT SO LESLIE IS STILL IN MY FUTURE. LOL WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER, YOU GUYS ARE REALLY HELPING SO BIG THANKS YOU!....CATHY

Good going Cathy. Today is day 5 for me and I've been on my gazelle everyday since I started. I've cut my food intake by a little more than half. And I've cut way down on Pepsi. I used to drink a 2 liter and half of another one in one day. Now I only allow myself 2 12 ounce cans. I've tried cutting out caffeine before and got major headaches. So, I'm not doing that to myself this time.

WELL TODAY IS DAY 4 FOR ME AND LOL I WISH READING WOULD LOOSE A POUND OR TWO WE WOULD LOOSE A LOT UH? BARB I HAVE TO GIVE YOU KUDDOS ON THE BIKE RIDING. I TRIED THAT AND IT DIDN'T WORK FOR ME. I'M TAKING IT KIND OF SLOW WITH THE HOPES THAT THE PAIN WILL GO AWAY SOME DAY AND IF NOT I'M GOING TO GIVE IT MY ALL AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I KNOW IT'S HARDER WITH DIABETES AND OTHER THINGS GOING WRONG BUT TOGETHER MAYBE WE CAN HANG IN THERE AND DO IT. I'M FINDING SO MANY WONDERFUL FRIENDS HERE THAT ARE GIVING ME THE STRENGHT TO NOT GIVE UP SO HERE'S TO DAY 4 AND I THINK I'M NOT ONLY GOING TO DO THE TREAD MILL BUT WHEN IT WARMS UP A LITTLE I'M GOING TO TAKE A WALK..........CATHY

HiCathy, I'm not up to date, but we seem to be doing the same thing. I am going to bike at 2pm, thirty minutes, like I do every day... And I've cut my food intake in half. Last night it was reallllllllllllllllly hard not to snack but that's where my pounds are earned. CAD, diabetes,overweight- what a wondeful combo, huh?

Good for you. Have you gotten yourself some quality walking shoes? They will make a world of difference in how your feet feel after a long walk and should help prevent shin splints.
