A NEW BEGINNING

New Me

A new me is emerging this year, and today is the beginning of a
journey of discovery. Along the way, I am discovering skills and
strengths, pursuing dreams and desires, completing projects and
goals.

Everything old is in the past. No limiting conditions are left over.
All has become new. Previously untried experiences stimulate my mind
and creativity. This is a year of renewal of mind and body, of
healing--physically and emotionally.

I joyfully reunite with people and places that have held meaning in my
life. New acquaintances enrich my everyday experiences and inspire my
progress forward.

I am not the same person I was last year or even yesterday. Through
the renewing friendships I have made here I can do it!
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year. Tomorrow I will be going back to Weight Watchers after a long 4 months of recovery and still recovering. Wish me luck because when I finally step on the scale and know what the 4 months of reality have done to my body I know the shock will over come me really hard. Well this is a new year and a new beginning......Cathy

Happy New Year Cathy! The scale is just a starting point, don't let it's numbers throw you. Use them as information only, a place to step off and begin your new year, your new start. Use them as a place to look back on, to remember where you've started, and celebrate how far you've come. Be proud of yourself! We are!
Hugs,
K

Thank you K! It's that seeing what is on the scale and not how our clothes fit. lol So far I haven't gained all the weight back and that's why I want to get back on program and hopefully my body will give in and know I'm not trying to kill it.
The kind words help sooo much and the new friendships. Tomorrow I'll try and remember your words and I'll let you know how it goes.........Cathy

So...... how'd it go????

My body confounds me. I can do EVERYTHING right and gain/stay the same. Then I can be less vigilant one week and still drop like a rock.

I was back in the gym today -- I shed the baggy three-sizes-too-big shorts for some that fit tight to my thighs. How's THAT for brave!!!!!!!!

WELL THE SCALE SHOCK ONLY LASTED A FEW HOURS AND I DID LIVE THROUGH IT. IT FELT GOOD TO BE BACK AND I NEEDED TO HEAR EVERYTHING THEY HAD TO SAY. NOT QUITE SURE ABOUT THE NEW CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM BUT A NEW BEGINNING RIGHT? I DID COME HOME AND DO AN HOUR ON THE TREAD MILL SO THAT WAS GOOD. I KNOW JOY THERE'S SOMETHING NOT FAIR ABOUT IT TAKING OUR BODY A WEEK OR TWO TO CATCH UP WITH ALL THAT WE DO. GOOD OR BAD. I RE,E,BER ONE TIME ONE OF OUR GUY MEMBERS WAS BRAGGING THAT HE HAD BEEN REALLY BAD AND THAT IT DIDN'T SHOW ON THE SCALE AND OUR LEADER TOLD NOT TO BE SO HAPPY THAT IT MAY SHOW UP THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND IT DID SO I KNOW ALL TO WELL ABOUT WORKING OUT AND GAINING........ CATHY

Am also a happy (altho reluctant at times) WWatcher! Join us on the Throwdown thread every week!

And, yes, 2009 is indeed a NEW DAY!!!

Cindy

THANK YOU CINDY. I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR A YEAR BUT LIKE MOST DID NOTHING WITH THE MEMBERSHIP. JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO I REALIZE THAT I REALLY NEEDED HELP FROM OTHERS. I HAVE FOUND THAT HERE I HAVE SO MANY GREAT FRIENDS THAT ARE INSPIRING ME TO SHOOT FOR MY GOAL THAT I HAD SET 6 YEARS AGO BUT BECAUSE OF A VERY ROUGH YEAR HAS REALLY SET ME BACK. I KNOW ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF I CHOOSE TO DO IT. ......CATHY
