Lowen & Navarro - Learning To Fall (with The ALS Choir)
This is the title track of our new album, releasing in July 2008. We recorded this November 10, 2007 with 30 friends, all of whom have been affected by ALS -- PALS (People With ALS), family members, friends, caregivers, supporters. ALS is an incurable untreatable paralyzing neuromuscular disease, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Eric Lowen was diagnosed with ALS in March, 2004. He is one of the lucky ones -- he has surpassed the normal 3-5 year life expectancy most ALS patients face. So he's helping spread awareness and hope for this devastating incurable degenerative disease. Among the guests are John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting and his family, our own families and a number of pro singers from LA who are mutual friends of Kathryn Skatula, a musician who was also diagnosed with ALS in April, 2007.
